I purchased an EZCAP DVB-T stick usb from dealextreme. It took a few weeks to get it but, it did arrive. I bought 3 of them when I did it. There was a bit of a price break if you bought 3 and gave one to my son and another one to my friend. I have an FCD which works well. I was just curious about this little device. I have had it laying around for a few weeks and hadn’t done anything with it. I tried a couple of times to get it to work but nothing. Here is a video of someone using the device and a bit of an explanation of how to install the device. To get the driver for this device go here.
There were a couple of issues that always caught me. One was running Zadig. I couldn’t find the devices. Then I started to look at the menu items. I found one that said list all devices. I did that and found the two Bulk-in devices. That got me over the first issue. The list all devices selection is under the options menu item.
The second issue was setting the device-hint. I had no idea where to do that. I knew I had to do it as HDSDR was selecting the wrong device. I clicked on the ExtIO button and there it was. I entered RTL in the device-hint box and then pressed start and it started working! Woo, Who! I found that it isn’t as sensitive as the FCD. It needs a stronger signal the the FCD but, it does work and you can see more of the spectrum at once using the EZCAP.
